1 review for MakerCade Bartop 1 Player 12.5″ – DIY KIT

  1. Kevin Berk

I couldn’t be happier with the work Makercade did to customize their 12.5″ DIY Kit to support my desire to turn my 2025 Asus Z13 2-in-1 into the ULTIMATE mini-size arcade powerhouse! They were unbelievably accommodating, fast, considerate, and their product is an absolute steal, even with the (ridiculously low) custom work fee. Now I wouldn’t call this a difficult project, at least not from the construction of their kit, but it does take some time and patience to get everything straight and sturdy with glue and clamps. I didn’t dare take chances so I did everything very deliberately.

I then went ahead and ordered a custom wrap and marquee for it, even though I had most of the parts left over from other builds. This one is here to stay!

It has 6 control panel buttons as you can see with a lighted trackball, 3+1 buttons + a spinner on the front panel, 2 pinball buttons on either side, then a Legion Go 2 controller around the back and a Sinden lightgun! Honestly, the wiring inside this thing is kind of insane, but that’s 100% my fault for putting everything and the kitchen sink in there!

Because I don’t see a way to upload photos, I’m, linking them here because I think Makercade Customs deserves so much credit in bringing this thing to life! Thank you so much!

I meant to post this earlier but the last month has been so crazy with stupid life stuff that I’ve barely been able to play a game on this new Z13 mini arcade. When I get a chance I’ll do a proper walkthrough of everything on my YouTube channel, @retrofutureguy.
